Hyderabad: Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy sought a massive mandate for Congress candidates in Nalgonda while leading an extensive roadshow on Friday ahead of the civic polls.
The roadshow covered Divisions 4 and 5 of the Nalgonda Municipal Corporation. During interactions with residents, the Minister urged voters to ensure the victory of Bogari Vaishnavi in Division 4 and Punna Gnaneshwari Ganesh in Division 5.
He said a decisive mandate for Congress candidates in Nalgonda would guarantee all-round development of colonies in both divisions. According to him, Congress representation would ensure timely execution of civic works.
Komatireddy said several development projects had already begun in the two wards. He assured residents that all pending works would be completed on a priority basis.
He said Nalgonda’s elevation to a Municipal Corporation enabled direct mobilisation of funds from the State and Central governments. This, he added, would strengthen civic infrastructure and accelerate urban development.
Congress candidates in Nalgonda and development pitch
Taking aim at the previous BRS government, the Minister alleged that meaningful development did not take place during its tenure. He claimed benefits were confined to a few within the ruling family.
In contrast, he said, the Congress government introduced multiple welfare schemes across Telangana after coming to power. He said these initiatives reflected the party’s commitment to inclusive governance.
Referring to the proposal to declare Kesrajupally as an Industrial Park, Komatireddy said the government dropped the plan after considering difficulties faced by local residents. He said public interest remained the government’s top priority.
Campaign intensifies for Congress candidates in Nalgonda
The Congress campaign intensified in Division 20, where the Minister took part in an outreach programme in support of party candidate Alli Subhash Yadav.
He said integrated development of Nalgonda town was possible only under Congress leadership. He assured permanent solutions to drainage, road, and drinking water problems.
Appealing to voters, Komatireddy urged them to support the Congress by voting for the hand symbol. He said a convincing victory for Congress candidates in Nalgonda would help accelerate development.
The Minister called on voters to elect the party candidate with a record majority. He assured transparent governance aligned with public aspirations.
