Kavitha warns BRS, signals storm over corruption claims

Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha said she had revealed only a small part of the alleged wrongdoing involving BRS leaders and warned that a full list would follow soon. Their nervous reactions, she added, showed how much they feared further disclosures. Any attempt to shift their alleged corruption onto her would draw a strong counterattack, and she warned that she would “skin alive” anyone who made false claims.

At the Jagruthi office in Banjara Hills, Kavitha dismissed comments that linked her actions to the Congress government. According to her, such remarks came from individuals trying to avoid scrutiny. She promised to open the complete file of alleged misconduct if they continued their attacks. Kavitha said she intended to become Chief Minister one day and planned inquiries into all alleged irregularities. More details of corruption were surfacing, she noted, as she moved among the public.

Kavitha warns BRS as she challenges actions tied to the HILT policy

Kavitha argued that the BRS government created the opening for the HILT policy and said the Congress later expanded it. She accused the K.T. Rama Rao administration of giving several lakes to private builders. One example, she said, involved the Usmankunta lake, which went to Praneeth Builders. The firm listed the son of MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao as a director, and she demanded a clear response from him. She added that she held no personal dispute with Krishna Rao but would not spare those guiding him.

She said she and her husband never gained financial benefits from the BRS government in the last decade. Leaders making allegations, she argued, should answer her charges instead of offering diversions. She recalled pledging her jewellery to organise Bathukamma celebrations when needed. Her remarks about Minister Harish Rao drew a response from the BJP, and she asked why the party reacted. Rivals might be taking her lightly because she was a woman, she said, yet she warned again that she would “skin alive” anyone spreading falsehoods.

Kavitha claimed that MLAs Madhavaram Krishna Rao and KP Vivekananda played key roles in the Gajularamaram land encroachments. She said she would send legal notices to everyone involved in false propaganda and vowed not to spare any individual who levelled baseless allegations against her.
