Hyderabad: The CMC Commissioner directed officials to address Kaithlapur Ward civic issues after residents raised concerns over traffic congestion, road connectivity, sewage overflow, sanitation and streetlights.
The Commissioner reviewed the complaints during an interaction with colony Resident Welfare Association representatives and local residents at Anjaneya Nagar Park. The programme formed part of the civic body’s “One Ward Every Day” initiative.
The Zonal Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and heads of the departments concerned joined the Commissioner during the interaction. Officials discussed pending development works and civic problems with residents to identify measures required at the ward level.
Kaithlapur Ward civic issues include traffic, roads
Residents raised road widening and related land acquisition requirements during the meeting. Traffic congestion at Kaithlapur X Road emerged as another issue requiring attention. The participants also sought improvements to road connectivity in the area.
The Commissioner reviewed these concerns and directed the departments concerned to take necessary action. Officials were asked to follow up on pending works, with connectivity and traffic management receiving priority.
The interaction also covered underground drainage overflow in the ward. Residents highlighted problems involving streetlights and sanitation services. In addition, enforcement-related concerns were brought to the Commissioner’s attention.
Kaithlapur Ward civic issues cover Women’s Park proposal
RWA representatives sought development of a dedicated Women’s Park at Power Nagar. They also raised concerns about scrap shops operating in the area. Private buses parked along identified road stretches formed another issue discussed during the programme.
The Commissioner examined the concerns and asked the respective departments to follow up. Officials were directed to focus on improving basic civic amenities alongside road connectivity and traffic management.
The “One Ward Every Day” programme brought senior civic officials directly into discussions with residents and RWA representatives. Through the interaction, the administration reviewed Kaithlapur Ward civic issues ranging from infrastructure and traffic to sanitation, drainage and enforcement.
The Commissioner directed officials to take necessary action on the complaints and monitor pending development works in the ward.
