The first phase would cover 65 lakh sarees, while the rest would be supplied later due to production timelines.

Indira Gandhi Jayanti event highlights women’s empowerment roadmap
Revanth Reddy said his government was committed to women’s empowerment through welfare and economic programmes. He recalled Indira Gandhi’s land reforms for the people with low-income and her role in the creation of Bangladesh despite global pressure. He said she never feared international threats and ensured wider representation for women. Drawing from her legacy, he stated that the government intended to help one crore young women move toward financial stability.
The Chief Minister criticised the previous BRS government for failing to deliver promised double-bedroom houses. He said many poor families suffered because of these unmet assurances. In contrast, he said the current government sanctioned 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses with an allocation of ₹22,500 crore. He added that the administration encouraged women to run petrol bunks and enabled nearly one thousand RTC buses to have women owners.
