Hyderabad: Hyderabad hiring growth reached 23% in August, making the city the top performer among India’s metro cities, according to a Naukri.com report. Nationally, white-collar recruitment increased 14% compared with August last year.
The Naukri JobSpeak Index rose from 2,664 points in August last year to 3,028 points this August. The increase reflected stronger hiring activity across IT and non-IT sectors.
Recruiters increased hiring across experience levels, including senior professionals, junior candidates and freshers. Moreover, automobile, healthcare and retail emerged as the main sectors driving the rise.
The automobile sector recorded 19% growth in recruitment. Healthcare hiring increased 16%, while retail recruitment rose 15%.
Hyderabad hiring growth tops the metro rankings
Hyderabad recorded the highest recruitment growth among the country’s metro cities at 23%. Kolkata followed with 22% growth during the same period.
The latest figures showed a broad improvement in white-collar hiring across major urban centres. Furthermore, the rise covered different experience categories and extended beyond the IT sector.
Among emerging cities, Bhubaneswar led the recruitment growth rankings with a 32% increase. Raipur followed at 23%, while Surat recorded 21% growth.
Ranchi stood next with a 19% increase in hiring. Meanwhile, the report showed that recruitment growth extended across both established metro markets and emerging cities.
The Naukri.com report recorded the August hiring trends through its JobSpeak Index, which reached 3,028 points during the month.
