Hyderabad police bust drug party in Gachibowli, arrest 12 including main supplier

Hyderabad: City police busted another drug party in Hyderabad, exposing the re-emergence of the drug mafia after a brief lull. The Special Operations Team (SOT) raided a co-living guest room in Gachibowli on Tuesday night and arrested 12 people.

During the operation, police seized MDMA and ganja packets from the spot. Investigators said the main supplier, Gutta Teja Krishna, brought drugs from Karnataka and sold them to youth in Hyderabad.

Police also detained a Nigerian national who assisted Teja Krishna in the supply network. The duo reportedly transported narcotics from Karnataka and sold them across Hyderabad. Preliminary investigation confirmed their role in the smuggling chain.

Officers caught several youngsters consuming drugs inside the guest room. The police have started further investigation into the drug routes, smuggling operations, and local distribution network.

Officials said the incident once again exposed the growing influence of the drug mafia and the rising trend of drug abuse among city youth.
