Hyderabad hashish oil concealed on carriers’ bodies
Police said four carriers concealed the hashish oil in packets weighing one kg each. They allegedly strapped the packets to their legs and stomachs with adhesive tape. Each carrier allegedly transported 3 kg, taking the total quantity to 12 kg.
Police identified Gemmeli Srinu, 25, and his wife Nibiya K.B., 27, as the alleged organisers of the operation. Two other accused allegedly worked as carriers. In addition, police said two children in conflict with law also acted as carriers.
Investigators alleged that Srinu and his wife recruited unemployed tribal youth to transport hashish oil in exchange for money. Police also said Srinu had previously faced two cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act in Andhra Pradesh.
