Hyderabad couple collects life lessons instead of wedding gifts

Hyderabad: A newly married couple in Hyderabad introduced a unique concept at their wedding by collecting life lessons and advice from guests instead of focusing only on traditional wedding gifts.

Rakesh and Reethamshi adopted the initiative during their wedding held on April 29. The couple titled the activity “Letter to Our Marriage”.

Inspired by the spirit of the Telugu film Srinivasa Kalyanam, the couple encouraged guests to reflect on marriage and relationships.

They placed postcard-style notes at the wedding venue and invited guests to write messages for their future journey together.

Wedding gifts replaced with messages and wisdom

Guests shared lessons, values and personal truths that they believed every married couple should remember throughout life.

The note placed at the venue requested guests to take a quiet moment and share thoughts that the couple could revisit in the future with gratitude.

Through the initiative, the newlyweds collected personal guidance and emotional memories instead of only ceremonial wishes.

The organisers described the idea as a reminder that meaningful weddings create lifelong memories beyond a single day of celebration.

People interested in sharing similar messages and thoughts were also invited to send them through WhatsApp.
