High Court extends Telangana journalist accreditation cards till August 3

Hyderabad: Journalist accreditation cards in Telangana will remain valid until August 3. The Telangana High Court issued the interim order on Wednesday while hearing a petition filed by the Telangana Urdu Working Journalists’ Federation (TUWJF) and others.

Advocate Barkath Ali Khan appeared for the petitioner. The High Court allowed accredited journalists to continue using their existing accreditation cards until the next hearing. The order ensured they continued to receive official recognition.

Journalist accreditation cards extension hearing set for August 3

The High Court directed the petitioner to submit the list of journalists seeking accreditation extensions. The court noted that the petitioner had already submitted the same list to the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on July 15, 2026. It also directed the petitioner to file the same list before the court.

 

The High Court scheduled the next hearing for August 3, 2026.
