Hyderabad: BRS MLA T. Harish Rao prayed for the welfare of farmers and the progress of Telangana during Dasara celebrations in Siddipet on Thursday. He took part in the Jammi Puja at Kotilingala temples and later spoke to the media.
Harish Rao said he prayed to the Goddess to bless farmers with more success and to inspire the government to launch additional welfare programmes. He wished that Vijayadashami would bring victories to people and fulfill their aspirations.
Harish Rao highlights Telangana’s farmer-friendly schemes
The Siddipet legislator said Telangana, though a young state, set direction for the country under K. Chandrashekar Rao’s leadership. He listed schemes such as Mission Bhagiratha, Rythu Bandhu, and Mission Kakatiya as models for the nation.
Harish Rao said central government data showed Telangana recorded a sharp decline in farmer suicides. He claimed the BRS government reduced such deaths by 95 percent, bringing stability and happiness to farming families.
