Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma on Thursday paid tributes to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary.
The Governor attended a garlanding ceremony at Vajpayee Park in Secunderabad and honoured the statue of the Bharat Ratna awardee. Later, he offered floral tributes to Vajpayee’s portrait at Lok Bhavan.
Observing the day as Good Governance Day, Jishnu Dev Varma recalled Vajpayee’s lasting contributions to the nation. He described him as a visionary statesman and a powerful voice in Parliament.
The Governor said Atal Bihari Vajpayee strengthened India’s democratic foundations and promoted national unity through inclusive leadership and principled governance.
