Government appoints PIC committees for 14 PACS

Hyderabad: The Telangana government appointed PIC committees for 14 Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) across the state, Agriculture and Cooperation Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao announced on Thursday.

The Minister said the government constituted the temporary non-official committees for six months under the provisions of the Telangana Cooperative Societies Act.

According to Tummala Nageswara Rao, the committees will remain in office until the authorities conduct elections for the respective cooperative societies or until the government issues further orders, whichever comes first.

Furthermore, he said the committees would assume charge immediately and manage the affairs of the respective societies during their tenure.

The Minister also directed the Special Commissioner and Registrar of Cooperative Societies to complete the necessary follow-up action for implementing the government’s orders.
