Hyderabad: Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana (NPDCL) Chairman and Managing Director Karnati Varun Reddy, IAS, said the Electricity Department had completed all arrangements to ensure uninterrupted power supply for the Medaram Sammakka–Saralamma Jathara, which begins from Wednesday.
Ahead of the four-day tribal congregation, the CMD inspected power arrangements on the ground at Medaram along with senior officials. During the inspection, he said NPDCL had put in place alternative power supply through four different routes to prevent disruptions during peak pilgrim movement.
Accordingly, officials arranged 33 KV supply lines sourced from 132 KV Kamalapur, Pasra and Mulugu. These lines were supported by DP structures and an eight-pole system to ensure redundancy and operational stability during the jathara.
Moreover, the CMD said NPDCL enabled real-time monitoring by bringing 106 transformers under Radio Frequency technology. He explained that the system would allow instant fault detection and quick rectification. Field-level staff were also monitoring load at every transformer to avoid overloads.
