Hyderabad: BJP national vice president and Mahbubnagar MP DK Aruna accused the Congress and BRS of colluding behind closed doors while staging political theatrics in public. In a statement issued Thursday, Aruna claimed the ongoing “hide and seek” between the two parties had exposed their real relationship.
She pointed to earlier allegations by Revanth Reddy when he was PCC chief that the BRS government engaged in illegal phone tapping, surveillance, and privacy violations. At the time, Reddy alleged that his own phone, as well as those of his family members, had been tapped by state agencies.
Aruna questioned the shift in tone since Reddy assumed the Chief Minister’s post, highlighting his recent remark downplaying the issue by saying that if phone tapping had occurred, he would have received official notices. She asked whether his past claims were mere theatrics or whether his silence now stemmed from a post-poll deal with BRS.
She said the inconsistency raised suspicions of a “package deal” between Congress and BRS. According to Aruna, their recent conduct supports the view that both parties are locked in a shadow alliance pretending to clash publicly while cooperating privately.
