Hyderabad: SERP CEO Divya Devarajan IAS visited the Indira Mahila Shakti canteen at the TGSPDCL corporate office. She inspected the facility and reviewed its operations.
During the visit, she examined the kitchen, dishwashing area and store room. She also checked cleanliness standards and other facilities at the canteen.
Devarajan appreciated TGSPDCL CMD Jitesh V Patil IAS for his initiative to support women’s groups. She also spoke with women involved in running the canteen.
The SERP CEO asked about the services offered to employees. She also sought details of daily and monthly business transactions.
In addition, Devarajan asked about the number of guests visiting the canteen. She also enquired about the process for buying vegetables and other essential supplies.

Devarajan also sought details about the prices of vegetables and other supplies. She discussed the canteen’s operations directly with the women managing the facility.
She instructed SERP officials to conduct food safety training programmes for employees. The move aimed to further strengthen the financial position of women’s groups.
The SERP CEO also discussed the possibility of setting up a dedicated stall for Vijaya Dairy products. She said the initiative could provide an additional source of income for women’s groups.
Devarajan expressed satisfaction with the services at the Indira Mahila Shakti canteen. She ordered coffee herself and made the payment digitally.
Through the gesture, she encouraged the women’s group members involved in the canteen’s operations. The visit also covered the facility’s services, business activity and procurement practices.
SERP Director Johnson attended the programme. TGSPDCL Director (Projects and IT) V Shivaji, Company Secretary Anil Kumar, SE (Civil) Ravikanth Reddy and ADE (Civil) Ujjanappa Goud also participated.
