Cyberabad Moves 2026 to explore city’s mobility future at T-Hub

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Moves 2026, a three-day immersive exhibition and convening on mobility, will run from 26 to 28 November at T-Hub Cyberabad. The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, Cyberabad Police, Society for Cyberabad Security Council and SHIFT Transport Initiative will host the event. The organisers have also launched an Innovation Challenge for students of schools and colleges and for citizens.

The hosts announced the event at a press conference on Friday. They want to deliberate on how the city can build a safer, more inclusive, climate-resilient and efficient transport system.

Dr. M. Ramesh IPS, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, said mobility must go beyond managing traffic. Every person should be able to travel efficiently and safely, he said. He said this calls for greater awareness, responsible road behaviour and coordinated efforts across government agencies, businesses, academia and citizens. “Cyberabad Moves provides an opportunity to bring these perspectives together in a first of its kind immersive experience,” he said. He also invited citizens to join and “make a positive move towards better Cyberabad”.

Smt. G. Srijana IAS, Municipal Commissioner, Cyberabad, said the city’s growth presents an important opportunity to rethink how people move. Mobility systems must evolve so that growth rests on safe, affordable, accessible and sustainable transport, she said. She described Cyberabad Convergence as the platform for coordination across departments. According to her, the authorities have taken several initiatives to improve junctions and streets and to remove encroachments from footpaths. She invited everyone to join the platform and encouraged students to take part in the innovation challenge.

Representatives of TGSRTC, HMDA, HUMTA, the Transport Department and Open Data Telangana also took part in the press conference.

Life-sized maps and interactive exhibits

Cyberabad Moves will use life-sized maps, data visualisations and interactive exhibits to turn complex mobility data into a public experience. Visitors will be able to locate their neighbourhoods and trace familiar journeys. They will also see how their everyday commutes connect to the city’s wider mobility network.

The exhibition will also feature leadership dialogues, knowledge sessions, public conversations and a Mobility Innovation Challenge. The challenge will showcase ideas from schools, colleges and citizens. By combining data, local experiences and views from different stakeholders, the organisers aim to encourage informed conversations and collaborative action. They want a safer, more accessible and people-centric mobility system.

The experience aims to make the city’s mobility patterns more visible and accessible. It will bring together government representatives, industry leaders, urban practitioners, academic institutions, civil society organisations, media, students and citizens. They will reflect on Cyberabad’s mobility journey and collectively envision its future.

Cyberabad is strengthening its position as a leading hub for information technology, IT-enabled services, Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and pharmaceuticals. Its rapid economic and urban expansion is changing how people live, work and travel. With employment centres and residential developments growing, efficient connectivity, seamless public transport integration and better access to jobs are becoming increasingly important for its future growth.
