Congress government failing to govern Telangana, alleges BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan

HYDERABAD: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan has accused the Congress government in Telangana of failing to govern effectively, stating that the state, once a leader in development, is now witnessing a decline across sectors due to mismanagement and false promises.

Speaking on Sunday at a preparatory meeting held at Telangana Bhavan in Banjara Hills ahead of the BRS party’s silver jubilee celebrations on 17 April in Warangal, Sravan lashed out at the ruling Congress. The meeting was organised under the leadership of Khairatabad constituency BRS in-charge Manne Govardhan Reddy.

Sravan alleged that Telangana, which once held a top position in the country in terms of development, is steadily deteriorating under Congress rule. “The Congress came to power with false promises and now lacks the ability to govern. The state’s drop in GDP and per capita income is proof of this failure,” he said. He also criticised the lack of coordination among ministers and their offhand remarks, which he claimed reflected poor governance.

Praising BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), Sravan said the credit for achieving statehood and placing Telangana among the top states during a decade of BRS governance goes to him. He accused the Congress of destroying the progress made, claiming it is misleading the public with lies and confusion.

He called on BRS leaders and workers to work in coordination and ensure the grand success of the party’s silver jubilee public meeting on 27 April in Warangal.

Khairatabad in-charge Manne Govardhan Reddy also addressed the gathering, stating that party workers remain united despite hardships and betrayal by those who defected to other parties after winning on a BRS ticket. “We continue to believe in KCR’s leadership as our guiding force,” he said.

He urged all party leaders and cadres to mobilise in large numbers for the Warangal event and proposed forming division-wise coordination committees to organise the mobilisation efforts.
