Cyberabad Police Formation Day marks 24 years of tech-driven policing

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police Formation Day was celebrated at T-Hub as the commissionerate marked 24 years of technology-driven policing and institutional growth.

DGP B Shivadhar Reddy attended the event as chief guest. He joined Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh and former Commissioners for the commemorative programme. Senior serving and retired IPS officers, along with other dignitaries, took part in the ceremony.

Addressing the gathering, the DGP praised the professionalism and efficiency of Cyberabad Police. He said the commissionerate had earned growing global recognition. Moreover, he noted that the force had set benchmarks in modern urban policing.

Former Commissioners Dr. M. Mahender Reddy, S. Prabhakar Reddy, Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, C.V. Anand, V. Naveen Chand, and Sandeep Shandilya shared insights from their tenures. They highlighted the adoption of technology, public-oriented policing, and institutional discipline. In addition, they stressed collaborative governance in a rapidly expanding urban region.

Commissioner M. Ramesh emphasised close coordination with the IT industry. He said strengthening cyber safety frameworks would improve public service delivery. Furthermore, he stressed sustained innovation in policing methods.

A curated slideshow traced the history and key achievements of the commissionerate. The organisers then held a felicitation ceremony to honour past and present leadership. The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks.
