Peaceful polling held in Cyberabad for municipal elections, says CP Ramesh

Hyderabad: Municipal polling in the Cyberabad Commissionerate concluded without incident on Wednesday. Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dr. M. Ramesh, IPS, reviewed security arrangements across multiple zones and polling booths.

He visited stations in Medchal, Aliyabad, Isnapur, and Chitkul, accompanied by senior officers. The inspection aimed to ensure safe, orderly voting and reinforce confidence among citizens and staff.

Dr. Ramesh began with polling centres in Yellampet Municipality, falling under Medchal police limits. He visited booths at Ravel Koul ZPHS and Yellampet ZPHS in Quthbullapur zone.

Later, he reviewed Lal Gadi Malakpet ZPHS and Aliyabad MPPS polling booths in Aliyabad Municipality. These fall under the jurisdiction of the Genome Valley police station.

He then moved to the Serilingampally zone and visited polling centres in Indresam and Isnapur municipalities. Locations included Indresam MPUP School, Isnapur ZPHS, and Chitkul MPPS, all under Patancheru police limits.

Throughout the visits, Dr. Ramesh interacted with on-duty police personnel. He urged them to stay vigilant, perform their duties responsibly, and prevent any law-and-order issues.

Speaking to the media, he confirmed that comprehensive arrangements had been implemented. “We ensured the elections proceeded in a free, fair, and peaceful environment,” he said. He encouraged all citizens to cast their votes without fear and assured continued police alertness.

Accompanying the CP were senior officials: Serilingampally DCP C.H. Srinivas, Quthbullapur In-Charge DCP Sai Manohar, SB DCP Sudheendra, Crimes DCP Muthyam Reddy, Women & Safety DCP Srujana Karanam, PD Cell Addl. DCP Satyanarayana, and others. These included Addl. DCPs Purushottam and Uday Reddy, along with ACPs Bala Gangi Reddy, Srinivas Kumar, and Shankar Reddy.
