Hyderabad: Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Sudheer Babu on Saturday personally supervised security arrangements at Uppal Cricket Stadium. He used live drone surveillance and a centralised command system.
Operating from the Command & Control Centre, the CP used drone feeds to guide on-ground police officers in real time. The surveillance helped scan vulnerable areas and dense crowd zones during the high-profile event featuring football legend Lionel Messi.
Advanced tech centre tracks movement, crowd flow
Based on aerial visuals, CP Sudheer Babu issued immediate directives to field teams for crowd movement and safety. The aim was to streamline public flow towards exit and entry points and prevent congestion at sensitive locations.
The Commissioner said the Advanced Technological Fusion Centre, set up at Uppal, is operating round the clock. It monitors entry and exit points, public movement, and critical zones. A total of 375 surveillance cameras have been integrated with drone feeds. This integration supports the security grid.
These live inputs are continuously analysed and relayed to relevant field officers. This ensures effective crowd control and security enforcement throughout the event.
