Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar shared a video on social media highlighting the dangers of road negligence and urged parents to remain alert to prevent accidents.
Sharing the video on X, Sajjanar said the visuals were disturbing and underlined how close a child came to losing life. He stated that even watching the footage sent shivers, as it showed how a minor lapse could turn fatal.
In the video, a small child suddenly ran onto the road from beside a parked auto. At the same moment, a bus approached at speed. However, due to the driver’s alertness, the child escaped without injury.
Sajjanar said the incident served as a serious reminder for parents to exercise caution while walking with children near roads.
Road safety reminder draws strong public response
The Commissioner advised parents never to leave a child’s hand while walking on roads. He warned that even brief negligence could leave families with lifelong grief.
He also said luck would not always come to the rescue, as it did in this case. According to him, constant alertness remained the only real protection for both parents and children.
The video shared by Sajjanar went viral on X and triggered intense public discussion. While many praised the bus driver’s presence of mind, some users raised concerns about an auto being parked on the road.
One user commented that everyone spoke about the bus but ignored the illegally parked auto occupying road space. Another user said the incident clearly showed parental negligence and described the child as extremely fortunate to escape.
