Hyderabad: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Thursday said the Congress government, under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership, had set Telangana on a new course. This marks Telangana’s new direction, as they balanced rapid development with strong welfare delivery in just two years.
He made these remarks after releasing a souvenir titled “Rising Revanth Reddy: 10 Years of Progress in 2 Years of Governance”, prepared by Speak Foundation. The event took place at the minister’s residence in Hyderabad. He was joined by Government Advisor P. Sudarshan Reddy.
Telangana has begun to recover from past neglect, says minister
Ponguleti said the Congress government had restored direction and accountability to public administration. This came after what he called “a decade of neglect, corruption, and arrogance.” He asserted that the government had delivered concrete results guided by people’s aspirations.
“Instead of empty slogans, our work speaks for itself,” he said. “We have committed to building a people-centric administration that delivers both growth and equity.”
He said the government had taken steps to address the needs of key communities, including farmers, women, youth, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and religious minorities. He added that the administration ensured welfare schemes reached the public without bureaucratic delay.
Revenue reforms push transparency and dispute resolution
Outlining achievements in the revenue department, Ponguleti cited improvements such as transparent land governance, faster dispute resolution, stronger protection of public lands, and the rollout of modern survey technologies. These changes, he said, were directly improving public confidence in government services.
He noted that the administration would focus on accelerating both development and welfare in the years ahead. They will always center people in their policy decisions.
The event was attended by Telangana Women’s Commission Chairperson Nerella Sharada, Speak Foundation advisor Anne Satyanarayana, president Vidyasagar, and other guests.
