Hyderabad: BRS MLA and former minister Harish Rao accused the Congress government of complete disarray, claiming that internal squabbles have replaced governance. Addressing a meeting of the Vaddera community at Telangana Bhavan, he alleged that ministers and the Chief Minister were fighting over allocations rather than working for the people.
Harish Rao cited recent remarks by leaders like Konda Surekha’s daughter and Jupally Krishna Rao as proof of deep divisions within the cabinet. He claimed that during a recent cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister and ministers “shouted at each other, even removing their shirts.” and also said the Congress was only interested in infighting and power-sharing, while the people were being ignored.
He insisted that only KCR’s return to power could ensure meaningful governance and welfare in Telangana.
Harish Rao says Congress rule is causing chaos, hurting the BCs
Rao accused the Congress of filing false cases and extorting money from the Vaddera community. He contrasted this with the BRS era, during which, he said, construction work and welfare schemes flourished. He claimed Revanth Reddy demolished one lakh homes in Hyderabad while KCR had built the same number under the double-bedroom scheme.
Harish Rao said voters must defeat the Congress in the Jubilee Hills by-election to prevent Revanth Reddy from claiming public endorsement. He dismissed Revanth as a “cutting master” who inaugurated buildings and schemes built by KCR, without introducing any original policies.
Rao also alleged that Congress leaders insulted grieving families, questioning if the party would abandon MLC Sunitha’s family after her husband’s death. He demanded that if Revanth truly cared about BCs, he should release funds and resume the BC self-respect building projects launched under BRS.
