Congress and BJP have failed Telangana, says KTR in Vemulawada

Hyderabad: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao on Friday said neither the Congress nor the BJP had done anything meaningful for Telangana. He made these remarks at a municipal election campaign in Vemulawada, Rajanna Sircilla district.

KTR accused the Congress-led state government and the BJP-led Centre of neglecting Telangana. He said both parties had betrayed the people through deception and broken promises. According to him, the Congress came to power on false guarantees and has since ignored public concerns.

KTR says Congress broke its six guarantees in 100 days

KTR showed a signed bond paper from Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas, who had pledged to deliver all six Congress guarantees within 100 days. He alleged that Srinivas misled voters with emotional appeals and then disappeared after the elections.

“He said he would die if he lost again. Now that he’s won, he’s nowhere to be seen,” KTR told the crowd. He claimed Srinivas focused only on securing a ministerial post and neglected development in his constituency.

KTR asked whether state government Congress had fulfilled even one of the six guarantees. He warned that if voters supported Congress again in these polls, the party would take it as a green light to continue ignoring its promises. “Only a clear rejection at the ballot box will force Congress to take its word seriously,” he said.

BJP uses religion and false promises to seek votes, says KTR

KTR turned his criticism toward the BJP, targeting Union Minister Bandi Sanjay. He said Sanjay, despite representing the area twice in Parliament, had failed to bring any benefits to the region.

He also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not delivering on key promises. “What happened to the ₹15 lakh in each household’s account?” he asked. KTR alleged that the BJP only brings up religion, caste, and God during elections to mislead voters.

“Remember who actually fed the poor,” he urged. He asked people not to fall for BJP’s tactics again and to judge parties by their actions.

KTR closed his speech by urging voters to decisively defeat the Congress in the municipal elections. He said such a result would pressure the government to act on its promises. He also said the vote should begin the journey to reinstall K. Chandrashekar Rao as Chief Minister.

Municipal candidates and constituency in-charge Chalmeda Lakshminarasimha Rao joined KTR at the campaign event.
