HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy conducted a review meeting with education department officials regarding the Young India Residential Schools project on Friday. He inquired about land acquisition status and other necessary details for establishing these schools across all constituencies.
The Chief Minister emphasised the need for a well-structured plan to complete construction within the stipulated timeline for 100 constituencies. He directed officials to expedite approvals for constituencies where land has already been allocated. Additionally, he instructed them to assess whether the proposed locations are suitable for residential schools and to identify alternative sites if required.
District Collectors were ordered to conduct field visits and swiftly complete the land identification process. The CM also mandated that a comprehensive report on land acquisition status be submitted within a week. In constituencies where land is already available, he urged officials to begin construction immediately.
Setting a two-year deadline, Revanth Reddy stressed that all required infrastructure must be completed in 105 constituencies. He further directed that Veeranari Chakali Ailamma Women’s University be developed with high standards, ensuring adequate academic facilities, playgrounds, and other amenities to meet future needs. The state government, he assured, is committed to allocating the necessary funds for university development.
