Newly married woman killed in Chandrayangutta hit-and-run accident

Hyderabad: A Chandrayangutta hit-and-run accident claimed the life of a newly married woman after a speeding tipper lorry allegedly hit a scooter and fled the spot in Hyderabad.

The deceased was identified as Fatima Begum, 25, a resident of Noori Nagar in Bandlaguda.

According to police, Fatima Begum was returning home with her husband after attending a wedding function. Two children of their relatives were also travelling with them on the scooter.

The accident occurred during a U-turn on the Chandrayangutta-Bandlaguda road. Police said a speeding tipper lorry allegedly rammed into the scooter before fleeing the area.

Fatima Begum died on the spot due to severe injuries. However, her husband and the two children escaped unhurt.

Chandrayangutta hit-and-run case under investigation

Bandlaguda Police registered a case following the accident. Officials said they were examining CCTV footage from nearby locations to identify and trace the driver involved in the hit-and-run case.

Police launched a further investigation into the incident.
