Hyderabad: Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy demanded a Kaleshwaram project CBI probe into alleged corruption, negligence, and misuse of power during its construction.
He said the National Dam Safety Authority had already flagged irregularities in the project even before the Ghose Commission findings. According to him, officials failed to follow proper safety standards during construction.

The MP said authorities had taken action against officials responsible for lapses. However, he stressed that people of Telangana must know the full facts behind the project.
He said BJP leaders must take responsibility on the issue. He urged Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar to push for a CBI investigation.
Further, he expressed confidence that all irregularities would come to light once the final outcome in the case is known. He also demanded strict action against those responsible for alleged misuse during the previous government’s tenure.
