Hyderabad: BRS leaders marched to the GHMC office demanding HILTP policy cancellation ahead of the council meeting. They said the government moved to sell industrial lands across several notified clusters.

BRS escalates demand for HILTP policy cancellation

Former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav led the rally from the MLA Quarters. BRS corporators displayed placards and walked to the GHMC office while raising slogans against the policy.

The leaders accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of targeting 9,292 acres of industrial land in Hyderabad. They argued that the government pushed land-use changes to clear the way for what they described as the country’s largest land scam. They claimed that the HILTP framework served as the tool for this transfer.

BRS leaders said public industrial assets faced a threat due to these decisions. They warned that the city’s industrial base would weaken if the government continued with the plan. They demanded immediate withdrawal of the policy and said the party would intensify its agitation if the administration refused to act.
