BRS leader accuses CM Revanth Reddy of bogus voting in Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC Dr Sravan Dasoju on Thursday accused Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of orchestrating bogus voting during the recent by-election in the Jubilee Hills constituency.

Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, Dr Dasoju alleged that the bypoll saw widespread electoral malpractice, directly linking the irregularities to the Chief Minister’s office. He called the incident a “clear case of vote chori” and described it as a betrayal of democratic values.

Bogus voting Jubilee Hills row triggers attack on Congress leadership

Targeting Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, the BRS leader questioned the credibility of his recent statements on electoral fraud in Bihar. Dasoju said Gandhi had no moral ground to speak about vote tampering elsewhere while his own party allegedly engaged in bogus voting in Telangana.

“Rahul Gandhi questions ‘Vote Chori’ in Bihar, while his own Chief Minister steals votes in broad daylight in Telangana through bogus voting in Jubilee Hills,” he posted.

He further demanded accountability from Gandhi, asserting that the Congress must address electoral irregularities in its own stronghold before criticising others. He also called it “an insult to every honest voter of Telangana.”
