Hyderabad: BRS leaders submitted a representation to City Police Commissioner CV Anand demanding a judicial inquiry into the death of party worker Sardar, alleging it was a politically motivated murder orchestrated by Congress leaders, not a suicide.
In their complaint, BRS leaders claimed Sardar was targeted after refusing to defect to Congress. They accused Congress functionaries of deliberately harassing Sardar and other party workers, including Krishna Mohan and Fayaz, through false allegations and pressure tactics.
The representation stated that drug control officials raided Sardar’s medical store over expired medicines, which deeply disturbed him. The leaders alleged this was part of a larger effort to weaken the BRS in the Jubilee Hills constituency.
They also flagged alleged death threats made in videos by one Sridhar Rao of Sandhya Convention Centre in Rahmathnagar division, who reportedly invoked the late Maganti Gopinath and threatened others with similar fates. The complaint criticised Borabanda police for ignoring these threats and failing to register a criminal case.
MLC Dasoju Sravan said the Commissioner responded positively and assured legal action. Those who met the Commissioner included MLAs Kale Yadaiah, Mutha Gopal, MLC Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, and BRSV leader Gellu Srinivas Yadav.
