HYDERABAD: BRS leader P Kartik Reddy announced on Sunday that the party would soon launch a new initiative named “COBRA” to counter the Congress-led HYDRAA scheme. The announcement was made during a press conference at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad. Reddy said the initiative aims to address alleged illegal encroachments across the state.
Serious allegations against the state government
Reddy accused the Congress Chief Minister, his relatives, and close associates of encroaching upon government lands and public assets. He likened the current administration to a mismanaged liquor tank, claiming that every minister is acting independently with no regard for public welfare. He asserted that BRS would return to power within the next three years and resolve these issues.
Balka Suman targets Congress
Senior BRS leader Balka Suman also criticised the Congress government during the same press meet. He alleged that the Congress had completely failed in governing the state and accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of targeting the Kaleshwaram Project out of personal vendetta. According to Suman, former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao still holds a place in the hearts of the people, and Revanth Reddy cannot diminish his popularity.
Prediction of public revolt
Suman predicted that the public would soon rise against the Congress’s failed policies. He alleged that most of the government’s recent decisions were politically motivated and aimed at discrediting the previous administration and its leaders.
Next steps for the BRS
Details of the BRS’s ‘COBRA’ plan are expected to be revealed in the coming days. Party leaders emphasised their commitment to ensuring transparency and justice in governance. The Congress party has not yet issued an official response to the allegations.
