BRS alleges land scam under HILT Policy, demands withdrawal

Hyderabad: BRS leaders on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the Congress government’s HILT Policy, branding it a front for what they called a massive land scam targeting industrial zones.

HILT Policy land scam claim made at industrial site

During a visit to the Bahadurpur Chandulal Baradari Industrial Area, senior BRS leaders including former Minister Mahmood Ali and MLC Dasoju Sravan alleged the government is using manipulated land valuations to seize valuable properties.

Sravan accused the Congress of endangering Telangana’s industrial ecosystem for political and financial gain.

“The HILT Policy is part of a larger scam. The Chief Minister wants to capture industrial lands, threatening jobs, industries, and investor confidence,” Sravan said.

He also criticised the Congress-led administration for prioritising land deals over governance, saying the focus had shifted from public welfare to what he called “land-centric governance.”

The BRS demanded the immediate withdrawal of the policy and warned of intensified protests to safeguard industrial land, entrepreneurs, and Telangana’s economic future.
