Hyderabad: An alleged attempt to delete 31 voters from the electoral roll has triggered a row in Musheerabad constituency. Officials found bogus Form-7 documents linked to polling station 210.
The Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) lodged a police complaint against Booth Level Agent (BLA) Balachander over the alleged submission. Police will investigate the documents and the circumstances surrounding their use.
The issue surfaced during the ongoing electoral roll revision. Therefore, the matter has gained attention amid the voter list correction exercise.

Meanwhile, the Congress accused the BJP of supplying fake Form-7 papers to BLAs. Congress leaders also urged the Police Commissioner to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The party sought a detailed probe into the alleged attempt to delete the 31 votes. It also demanded clarity about the people behind the documents.
The investigation will examine who prepared the papers and why they submitted them. Police will also examine the circumstances surrounding the alleged attempt to remove the voters’ names.
Earlier, the State Election Officer warned district officials to remain vigilant during the voter list revision process. The officer also directed them to prevent irregularities in voter details.
The police complaint against Balachander has now brought the alleged Form-7 irregularity under investigation. Police will examine the documents and related claims as part of the probe.
