BJP MP DK Aruna slams CM Revanth for ‘insulting Hindu gods’

Hyderabad: BJP MP DK Aruna on Wednesday accused Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of insulting Hindu gods and betraying the trust of Hindu voters. DK Aruna slams CM Revanth, criticizing his recent remarks as “arrogant and shameful” and claimed they hurt religious sentiments.

Addressing the media, Aruna said the Chief Minister projected himself as a devout Hindu during the election campaign but had since made statements that offended followers of Sanatana Dharma.

Referring to Revanth Reddy’s comments about “a God for drunkards and a God for non-vegetarians,” Aruna said the remarks were derogatory and amounted to mocking Hindu beliefs. “This is not just offensive but reflects a deep-rooted contempt for Hindu culture,” she alleged.

She also cited earlier statements by Congress leader Sam Pitroda to accuse the party of fostering “Hindu hatred.” According to Aruna, such comments reveal a pattern of disrespect toward the majority community.

Calling on the Hindu community to respond politically, Aruna warned that the Congress party would “pay the price” for the Chief Minister’s statements. (NSS)
