Bhatti Vikramarka hails Congress sweep in panchayat polls, cites Vision 2047 boost

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday claimed a sweeping victory for the Congress party in the ongoing panchayat elections across Telangana, stating that Congress candidates had secured around 85% of seats declared so far.

Speaking at a felicitation event for newly elected sarpanches in Madhira constituency, Bhatti said the public had clearly endorsed the welfare and development programmes launched under the Indiramma People’s Government.

Congress credits rural wave, Vision 2047 investments

“The Congress has sounded the victory bugle and created history with a massive rural wave,” Bhatti said. He praised the peaceful and democratic conduct of the elections and described the results as highly encouraging.

He assured that the government would ensure equal development across all villages, regardless of party affiliations. “Every sarpanch, regardless of political background, will see justice and development,” he stated.

The Deputy CM also acknowledged the commitment of Congress workers and called their role in the party’s performance “remarkable.”

Highlighting Telangana’s economic strides, Bhatti said the state now has the highest per capita income in India, surpassing even Gujarat. He linked this success to the state’s detailed planning under the Vision 2047 document.

“The roadmap identifies where dams, roads, bullet trains, industries, IT parks, and educational institutions should come up,” he said. He added that the plan includes a target to produce 1.39 lakh megawatts of power and reach a $3 trillion economy by 2047.

He also revealed that within hours of releasing the vision document, investment proposals worth ₹5.75 lakh crore had flowed in, and more are expected as Telangana positions itself as a high-growth economy.
