Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Friday directed officials to adopt a prioritised and rationalised approach in planning development works across government departments in Telangana.
Chairing a meeting of the Infrastructure and Capital Works Sub-Committee at the Secretariat, Bhatti emphasised the need to streamline project planning through a 1:3 ratio of selected proposals, and to categorise large volumes of proposals across multi-year timelines based on priority.
Ministers and Sub-Committee members Uttam Kumar Reddy and Duddilla Sridhar Babu participated in the meeting, which also included a review of proposals from the Roads and Buildings (R&B), Panchayat Raj, and Police departments.
Bhatti instructed all department principal secretaries to attend the next committee meeting with complete and detailed proposals. He also urged R&B and Panchayat Raj officials to expedite the tender process for pending road infrastructure works.
Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, Panchayat Raj Principal Secretary Sridhar, and other senior departmental officials were present during the review.
