Azharuddin meets Timor-Leste Ambassador to strengthen bilateral ties

Hyderabad: Telangana Minister for Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises Mohammed Azharuddin met Timor-Leste Ambassador H.E. Karlito Nunes to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations between India and Timor-Leste.

The meeting took place in the presence of Nawab Mir Najaf Ali Khan Sahib, grandson of H.E.H. Mir Osman Ali Khan, the last Nizam of Hyderabad. Timor-Leste First Secretary Aurélio Barros also attended the interaction.

The dignitaries discussed measures to deepen cooperation across multiple sectors. In addition, they explored ways to strengthen people-to-people ties and identify new areas of mutual interest.

Azharuddin welcomed the growing diplomatic engagement between India and Timor-Leste. Further, he expressed confidence that such interactions would strengthen bilateral relations and promote lasting friendship between the two countries.

Finally, the meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to expanding goodwill, cooperation and mutually beneficial partnerships.
