Hyderabad: Adilabad school timings were revised after District Collector Rajarshi Shah issued orders on Thursday as the cold wave intensified across the district. He said the decision focused on student health and safety as temperatures dropped sharply.
Under the revised schedule, schools will function from 9.40 am to 4.30 pm. Earlier, schools operated from 9.00 am to 4.15 pm. The Collector said officials would review the situation based on weather conditions.
The district administration took the decision after reviewing temperature data and field reports. The Collector said student safety remained the top priority during the cold spell.
Adilabad school timings apply to all institutions
The revised Adilabad school timings will apply to all primary, upper primary and high schools in the district. The Collector directed mandal education officers and headmasters to implement the orders strictly.
The instructions apply to government, local body, KGBV, model and private schools. The Collector warned of strict action against those who fail to follow the guidelines.
He said the orders came into force with immediate effect. According to him, the education department will monitor implementation closely and take further steps if required.
