Ambedkar Youth Association urges Telangana to clear ₹200 crore dues under Best Available Scheme

Hyderabad: The Ambedkar Youth Association urged Telangana Medical and Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha to protect students studying under the Best Available Scheme Telangana. The members met him in Sangareddy on Friday and explained the problems faced by students in private schools.

Students stay home as schools block entry

The association said the government had not paid school fees for four years. Because of the delay, several private schools stopped students from attending classes. Many children are now staying home without access to education.

District president of the All India Ambedkar Youth Association, Pamballa Durga Prasad, demanded that the government release ₹200 crore in pending dues. He said the payment would save poor students from dropping out. He also noted that quick action could rebuild trust in welfare programmes.

Minister assures quick action on Best Available Scheme Telangana

Minister Rajanarasimha said he would raise the issue with the Chief Minister. He assured the delegation that he would seek early clearance of the dues.

The delegation included representatives of private schools linked to the scheme. Budaga Jangam State President Ananthayya, Dr. Girraj, Ling Das, and Tekula Srisailam joined the meeting and supported the request.
