Hyderabad: Labour and Mining Minister G. Vivek Venkatswamy sanctioned ₹25 lakh for the construction of a Gouda community association building in Chennur municipality of Mancherial district.
The Minister handed over the sanction letters during a meeting with leaders of various caste associations at the Chennur Municipal Office on Thursday. Earlier, he held a separate meeting with representatives of Gouda community associations. He later joined the municipal election campaign in Ward No. 16.
While addressing the gathering, Vivek Venkatswamy said development could be achieved only through people’s unity. He stated that the Congress government was advancing welfare and development by involving all sections of society.
Gouda community building sanction announced during Chennur campaign
During his interaction with residents, the Minister urged voters to ensure a decisive victory for candidates backed by the Indian National Congress in the forthcoming municipal elections. He assured that the government would develop Chennur municipality into a model town after coming to power.
The Minister continued campaigning across the Chennur Assembly constituency along with ward councillor aspirants. He expressed confidence that the Congress party would secure a strong victory in the constituency.
