Hyderabad: A youth died and another person sustained critical injuries after suffering an electric shock while erecting tents in Siripelli village of Kubir mandal on Sunday morning. This tragic Siripelli electrocution has left the community in shock.
According to preliminary information, the deceased was identified as Naveen. He, along with tent operator Shyam, had gone to the village to put up tents for an event when the Siripelli electrocution occurred. During the work, both came into contact with overhead 11 KV power lines and were electrocuted.
Following the incident, locals rushed the injured to a nearby private hospital. This Siripelli electrocution incident prompted doctors there to advise shifting them to the Area Hospital at Bhainsa for advanced treatment.
However, Naveen succumbed to his injuries while being shifted. Shyam’s condition was reported to be critical, hospital sources said.
Police said they were verifying the circumstances that led to the accident and examining whether safety norms were violated. Further details about the Siripelli electrocution were awaited.
