Hyderabad: A 23-year-old woman died after she jumped from the third floor of a private office building in the CBCID Colony at Kukatpally, under the KPHB police station limits, on Thursday night woman died.
Police identified the woman as Anita, a native of Maddinayanipalli village in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. She had been living in Hyderabad and was working in a private firm located in the same building.
According to police, Anita jumped from the third floor of the office premises and suffered severe bleeding injuries. Local residents noticed the incident and alerted emergency services. Doctors rushed her to a private hospital in Nizampet for treatment. However, she died during treatment.
Police cite health issues, mental stress
Anita married Srinivas, a resident of Bachupally, in 2021. The couple has a young daughter. Police said she had been facing health-related problems for some time and was under mental stress.
In her complaint, Anita’s mother told police that her daughter may have taken the extreme step due to prolonged illness and distress. Based on the complaint, police registered a case.
The KPHB police said they were investigating the incident to determine the exact circumstances that led to the death.
