HYDERABAD: A young man was attacked with a knife in Saidabad, allegedly over an old rivalry, while under the influence of alcohol. The incident took place within the limits of the Saidabad police station.
According to police and victim accounts, Muddavat Suresh Naik (22), an auto driver residing in the Singareni Colony, Ghanapuram slums of Saidabad, was attacked by a person named Jagan. Jagan, along with his friend Harshad, was consuming alcohol in an isolated area. Meanwhile, Suresh Naik, accompanied by his friend Nitin, approached them. A verbal altercation ensued between the two groups.
Following his family’s advice, Suresh Naik decided to leave for home. However, Jagan suddenly attacked him with a knife. He inflicted multiple stab wounds on Suresh’s abdomen, causing excessive bleeding. His family members rushed him to Osmania General Hospital for treatment.
Suresh Naik’s parents lodged a complaint with the Saidabad police, demanding strict action against Jagan. Based on their complaint, SI Sai Krishna registered a case and launched an investigation.
