Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at the Kamareddy Collectorate after a woman arrived with fake IAS certificates, claiming she had been appointed as the new district collector. She reportedly entered the office asking officials where her chamber was located, creating a commotion before leaving the premises.
District Revenue Officer (DRO) Madhusudhan filed a complaint with the police following the incident.

Police began an investigation soon after receiving the complaint. According to officials, the woman arrived at the Collectorate in a car along with her family around noon. Based on CCTV footage, police traced her location near Toopran later in the day.
Following the additional collector’s complaint, the Kamareddy police registered a case and started a detailed probe. Moreover, officers are verifying her identity and investigating how she obtained the forged IAS documents.
Officials suspect that the woman may have used the fake certificates to gain entry into the office. Further investigation is underway to determine her motive and possible links with others.
