HYDERABAD: In an inspiring act of humanity, a 25-year-old youth from Warangal has saved six lives through organ donation after being declared brain-dead following a tragic accident.
The youth, identified as Ramana from Wardhannapet in Warangal district, suffered critical injuries in a tractor accident. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced brain-dead. In a courageous and compassionate decision, Ramana’s family agreed to donate his organs, turning personal grief into life-saving hope for others.
According to Jeevandan Telangana, his heart, kidneys, and eyes were harvested and successfully transplanted into six patients in need. The initiative praised the family’s noble gesture and said such examples were vital to encouraging awareness about organ donation across the state.
Ramana’s act has been widely lauded, with health officials and citizens commending his family for their selfless contribution at a time of great loss.
