₹300 Cr Sammakka-Saralamma works near completion; CM Revanth to inaugurate on Jan 19

Hyderabad: As part of Warangal’s ongoing redevelopment, the modernisation of the historic Sammakka-Saralamma Gaddelu in Medaram is almost complete. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the project on January 19, confirmed Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.

₹570 Cr tenders for civic works to be floated within a week

After reviewing development projects in Warangal and preparations for the Medaram Jatara, Ponguleti said the Chief Minister had sanctioned ₹4,000 crore specifically for urban development in Warangal. In the first phase, the focus will shift to improving infrastructure in flood-prone core urban areas.

The minister announced that the government will invite tenders worth ₹570 crore for drainage and civic infrastructure within a week. Moreover, tenders for expanding drinking water facilities will also be floated shortly. Housing initiatives are also gaining pace under the Indiramma and 2BHK schemes, with a new model aimed at low-income families inspired by the Kukatpally Housing Board.

Ponguleti added that land acquisition for the Warangal Inner Ring Road is nearing completion.

Meanwhile, Panchayat Raj Minister Seethakka said the Medaram tribal festival is being organised on a grand scale this year. She invited devotees from across the state to participate.

Several public representatives, including MLAs, MLCs, Warangal Mayor, and MPs, joined the review meeting.
