Warangal police deploy 2,100 personnel for Ganesh immersion security

Hyderabad: Warangal Police Commissioner Sunpreet Singh on Thursday announced the deployment of 2,100 officers for Ganesh immersion security in the Central, East, and West zones of the city.

He said the plan includes four DCPs, two additional DCPs, 15 ACPs, 53 inspectors, and 70 sub-inspectors. In addition, ASIs, head constables, constables, and home guards will support the operations.

Ganesh immersion security boosted with drones and traffic diversions

In the Tri-City region alone, over 1,600 officers will be on duty. Police have also set up large numbers of CCTV and drone cameras to watch processions and immersion points closely.

To reduce traffic jams, officials have introduced diversions from Friday. Moreover, traffic teams have been posted at all key junctions and along the main routes.

Clear rules for public safety during the festival

Singh urged organisers to arrange vehicles for the immersion in advance. He clearly stated that DJs are banned and that all sound systems must follow legal volume levels.

He further warned against parking near temples and asked the public not to use firecrackers during the procession. Participants should also stay alert to hanging power lines and avoid bringing young children to crowded areas.

“Report any suspicious person or object immediately,” Singh said. “Also, do not drink alcohol or spread rumours.”

In case of emergencies, people should call the police helpline by dialling 100. Singh asked everyone to follow the safety rules and help maintain a peaceful atmosphere throughout the celebrations.
