Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C. Sudharsan Reddy clarified that voters can submit Enumeration Forms online or offline during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. He also directed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) not to insist on physical forms after online submission.

The CEO issued the direction after receiving complaints against some BLOs. Meanwhile, he instructed field officials to follow the Election Commission’s guidelines. He also asked them to avoid creating confusion among voters.

Enumeration Forms online or offline: CEO issues clarification

The CEO’s office received complaints that some BLOs had told voters their names might not appear in the draft electoral roll. They allegedly claimed this would happen unless voters also submitted physical forms. However, the CEO instructed officials not to make such claims.

The CEO’s official X account also released a digital brochure explaining the submission process. Further, it clarified that voters may choose either the online or offline mode to submit their Enumeration Forms.

Voters can complete the online process through the Election Commission’s website, voters.eci.gov.in. Alternatively, they can submit the forms offline with the assistance of their respective BLOs. The BLOs will provide two copies of the Enumeration Form.

Finally, the CEO reiterated that voters need to submit the form through only one approved mode. He also directed BLOs to strictly follow the Election Commission’s guidelines throughout the SIR exercise.
