Hyderabad: A Vikarabad man killed three members of his family in Kulkacharla mandal early Sunday before taking his own life. Police said Vepuri Yadayya fatally stabbed his wife, two daughters and daughter-in-law with a knife while they were asleep, then hanged himself.
The incident took place around 3.30 am at Yadayya’s residence in the mandal centre. His wife, Alivelu, 32, daughters Aparna, 13, and Sravani, 10, and daughter-in-law Hanumamma, 40, were attacked while they slept. The motive appears to be a domestic dispute, police said.
Aparna, the elder daughter, survived the attack with injuries. She regained consciousness after the assailant’s suicide and alerted neighbours, who rushed to the scene.

Locals found Yadayya dead by hanging, and the three women were fatally injured. They informed the local sub-inspector, who arrived along with a police team. Aparna was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Parigi DSP Srinivas and his team inspected the scene and supervised the removal of the bodies. The remains were sent to Parigi Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
