Hyderabad: Unethical alliances damage BJP, alleged Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Aravind after the Mayor and Deputy Mayor elections in Nizamabad Municipal Corporation.
He accused the Congress, BRS and MIM parties of joining hands to defeat the BJP in the civic body polls. According to him, the three parties set aside their ideologies and formed what he described as an immoral alliance.
Speaking to the media after the elections, Aravind criticised the ruling Congress party and the Revanth Reddy government. He questioned why Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was protecting the Kalvakuntla family, which he said faced serious allegations such as phone tapping and Formula-E car racing.
Furthermore, he asked why BRS candidates were allegedly brought in Congress vehicles. He also sought an explanation for the MIM party’s support to the Congress in the elections.

The MP alleged that some police officers acted as pawns for the ruling party during the election process. He claimed that the police’s role was visible in bringing a BRS candidate in a Congress van.
Moreover, he maintained that the developments indicated coordination among the rival parties to defeat the BJP. He described the alliance as unethical and politically motivated.
Aravind stated that the Congress candidate secured victory by a narrow margin of three votes against BJP candidate Sravanthi Reddy. In addition, he alleged that there was a Congress strategy behind the victory of the MIM candidate over BJP candidate Bantu Ramu.
Unethical alliances damage BJP, result not closed chapter
He asserted that the outcome of the election was not a closed chapter for the BJP. “Before the term of this body ends, we will reverse this result and show it. We will root out illegal alliances in the public sphere,” Aravind warned.
However, he congratulated the newly elected Mayor and Deputy Mayor on the occasion.
Aravind reiterated that unethical alliances damage BJP in the Nizamabad civic body elections and vowed to politically counter what he termed illegal alignments in future.
